The Position:
Von Rock Law is seeking an experienced, licensed in California, Estate Planning attorney to work with a well-regarded, thriving boutique firm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of related experience and will be ready to hit the ground running. A successful candidate will have experience in estate planning and ideally entity formation, and will also be working in our probate and trust administration practices. Experience in client intake, consults and business development will also be helpful.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing estate planning matters
- Drafting comprehensive estate plans in Wealth Counsel, including CRTs
- Analyzing, advising on, and revising a wide array of estate planning, business formation and trust administration and probate documents
- Collaborating with clients to develop and achieve their estate planning goals
- Drafting and reviewing necessary documents for business formations and dissolution
- Leading and working collaboratively with team members
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in California
- Seven or more years of relevant experience in estate planning
- Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small-team environment
- Experience in managing other legal assistants and paralegals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Entity formation, trust administration, and/or probate experience
- Experience with Clio Manage, Wealth Counsel, and Microsoft 365
- Adept at using Mac computers and systems
- Hybrid work experience
- Solid command of English including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
- Ability to work independently and on a team
