Position Summary:
We have an excellent opportunity for an associate to join a Firm that is continually recognized for a sophisticated and innovative estate planning practice for both individual and business clients. Each member of our team is able to provide our clients with a full range of planning services. Such services often extend beyond economic and tax considerations, and address the personal concerns and issues important to the clients and families who rely on us for sound advice because of relationships built on mutual trust and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft wills, trusts and other estate planning instruments
  • Prepare and/or review federal transfer tax returns, including for estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, and income tax returns for Trusts and Estates
  • Provide advice and implement estate plans including charitable planning, business succession planning, and income tax planning
  • Assist with the administration of estates and trusts
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to provide high quality service to our clients
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in estate planning law
  • Excellent research, writing and drafting skills
  • Possesses superior organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and capable of a high degree of accuracy
  • Exhibits superior verbal and written communication skills and comfort with both telephonic and face-to-face communications
  • Shares a commitment to client service, professional excellence, integrity and teamwork
  • Interest in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment with a strong desire to contribute to team and client success
  • Ability to work full-time, including variable hours that flex with client needs
  • J.D. from ABA accredited law school
  • Be admitted or eligible for admissions to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
