Polsinelli is seeking a mid-level associate to join our ESOP Transactions & Services practice group in our Kansas City, Philadelphia, and Chicago, offices, with a strong preference for Kansas City. Interested candidates should have excellent academic credentials, experience in a law firm or similar environment and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of experience advising on ESOP transactions and related corporate and ERISA matters, including transaction planning and design, qualified retirement plan and Code Section 409A experience, exposure to mergers and acquisitions, ESOP company corporate governance, executive compensation, and general corporate and transactional work. This role involves representing ESOP sponsors, shareholders, lenders, trustees, and private companies in connection with ESOP formations, operations, and regulatory matters, while also supporting clients on broader strategic and day-to-day business issues. The associate will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients in a collaborative, business-oriented environment and should demonstrate strong drafting, communication, and problem-solving skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage complex matters efficiently and independently.

Compensation: Salary will range between $260,000 – $420,000 annually, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
