Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Equipment Finance Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist in providing legal support for equipment finance transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and supporting the Company's business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and consumer equipment finance agreements, including but not limited to, loans, leases, and related documents.
- Aid in regulatory compliance and licensing.
- Support the Chief Legal Officer in managing and closing equipment finance transactions internally and with outside counsel.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on equipment finance matters.
- Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of equipment finance transactions.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date templates for all equipment finance transactions and related legal documents.
- Full time premise based role.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
- 1-3 years of experience in equipment finance, commercial finance, or a related legal field.
- Strong understanding of equipment finance transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department with a focus on equipment finance.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with UCC Article 9 and other relevant commercial finance laws.
