Job Description:Holland & Knight is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of experience to cover a broad range of environmental issues in its Washington, DC office. The associate's primary responsibilities will include environmental litigation with respect to agency challenges under the Administrative Procedure Act and core environmental statutes, particularly the CWA, NEPA, ESA, CERCLA and analogous state statutes. Associate will be expected to support due diligence and evaluation of risk mitigation measures in corporate and real estate transactions, RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, FIFRA, and state law compliance issues, climate disclosure and ESG issues, and support partners in environmental enforcement matters. Private practice or in-house experience advising energy (oil and gas, renewable, transitional), chemical, or transportation companies preferred. Strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, and ability to work on widely varying matters as part of a dynamic team are a must.
