Law Offices of Thomas Sciacca, PLLC (www.sciaccalaw.com) is looking to hire an entry-level Associate Attorney to join our team in October 2026. The firm is a small firm of four team members (looking to expand to five) that focuses on Trusts & Estates, Surrogate's Court litigation, and guardianships. We do this work for the 99% - working with everyday New Yorkers rather than the high net-worth or ultra high-worth individual/couple.

Excellent opportunity for a newly-admitted attorney or an attorney new to this field looking to develop their professional skills under the supervision of a seasoned attorney and work directly with clients and Courts. Our office is based in Lower Manhattan. After six months of employment, the new team member may work remotely up to three days per week provided the employee is meeting billable hour expectations.

Qualifications:

Attorney licensed to practice law in the State of New York and in good standing
Current Notary Public license in the State of New York (or willingness to immediately apply for same)
Completed relevant coursework and/or CLE in the field of Trusts & Estates and/or have had other significant experiences that make them both qualified and eager to work in the field

Skills:

Excellent writing skills
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, be efficient in online legal research, firm management software (we use Clio) and have superb writing skills
Possess familiarity with issues facing the LGBTQIA community and demonstrate knowledge and/or sensitivity when working with the community (although an applicant need not necessarily be part of the LGBTQIA community)
Acute attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Must have initiative, be able to act decisively, work independently, and exercise excellent and ethical judgment
Demonstrate a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and a desire to contribute to the success of our firm
Have excellent interpersonal communication skills
Willingness to work some evenings and/or weekends as necessary
