Description:
We are hiring a licensed New Mexico attorney to support ongoing legal work related to real estate and property law. This is a great opportunity for a newly licensed attorney looking to gain hands-on courtroom experience in eviction cases and legal document preparation.You will support a network of real estate-related businesses on a contract basis and report directly to the business owner. Court presence is required.
Responsibilities:
- Handle eviction filings and court appearances
- Draft motions, notices, and other legal documents
- Support zoning/permitting inquiries and compliance reviews
- Review contracts, leases, and transactional documents
- Provide legal support across multiple affiliated companies
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in the State of New Mexico
- Strong legal writing and organizational skills
- Courtroom-ready and capable of working independently
- Interest in real estate law, landlord-tenant matters, or housing policy
- Experience with nonprofit legal support is a plus but not required
Compensation:
- Depending on experience
- Optional monthly retainer
- Flexible workload with potential for expansion
- Contractor position (1099)
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
