Job Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Associate attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the legal field. The Entry Level Associate will assist with various legal tasks, including research, drafting documents, and supporting attorneys in case preparation across multiple areas of law.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support ongoing cases.
- Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and contracts.
- Support attorneys in litigation processes by organizing case files and preparing exhibits.
- Engage in negotiations and communications with clients and opposing parties under attorney supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and deadlines within the law office environment.
- Collaborate with team members on estate planning, family law, immigration law, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, and securities law matters.
- Participate in client meetings and take notes to assist in case strategy development.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Oklahoma bar association member.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and concepts across various practice areas such as litigation, estate planning, family law, and environmental law is a plus.
- Experience with legal research tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
