Frankfurt Kurnit, one of Crain's New York "Best Places to Work", is seeking a highly motivated Entertainment Associate to work closely with established partners and a diverse roster of clients across film, television, digital media, and emerging platforms. We are seeking a diligent and committed attorney who is admitted to practice in California.

Primary Job Functions:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of entertainment-related agreements, including talent, production, licensing, and development agreements.
  • Negotiate deal terms for the acquisition of intellectual property and the engagement of writers, directors, producers, actors, comedians, animators, podcasters, broadcasters, and influencers.
  • Provide strategic analysis of entertainment, intellectual property, and contract issues.
  • Advise clients in connection with intellectual property issues and the customary parameters of deal terms in the film, television, and digital industries.
  • Interface directly with clients, agents, managers, and business affairs executives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
  • Ability to Manage and Organize a Heavy Volume of Time-Sensitive Matters and Multiple Clients in A Fast-Paced Environment, Working with The Entertainment Group and Other Attorneys Throughout the Firm, with Exceptional Attention to Detail, Pragmatism, and Judgment.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively and Also Independently Depending on The Assignments.
  • Strong Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication.
  • Strong Drafting and Negotiation Skills.
  • Interest in Attending Client and Entertainment Industry-Related Events.

Education and Experience:
  • 1 – 3 Years of Law Firm And/or In-House Legal Experience Post-Law School Required.
  • Membership in The California Bar.
