Steptoe LLP seeks a highly qualified attorney with 2-5 years of experience, including experience or demonstrated interest in energy regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Steptoe's energy attorneys represent some of the nation's largest energy companies, and provide them with leading-edge energy counseling and litigation expertise. Steptoe's energy associates are given meaningful, hands-on legal work at every stage of their careers.Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. We are looking for candidates who can and want to assume immediate responsibility and who are willing to work as an integral part of a high performing and collaborative team.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $235,000-$365,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications, or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing, is also required. For consideration, please submit cover letter, resume, and law school transcript.
