Description:
Employment / Litigation- Handle the day-to-day management of a docket of cases
- Advise employer clients on human resources issues
- Conduct investigations of discrimination/harassment claims
- Draft position statements in EEOC and NYDHR proceedings
- Draft legal pleadings and motions
- Manage discovery process, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests and related motion practice
- Attend court conferences
- conduct/defend depositions
- Draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, and restrictive covenants
- Draft and review employee handbooks
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of litigation and relevant experience
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
- New York State Bar admission (mandatory) and admission to the SDNY and EDNY courts (preferred)
