The Denver office of Fisher Phillips seeks to hire a mid to senior level litigation associate licensed in Utah and Colorado to join our Employment Litigation team. This position will be based in Denver. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 6+ years of employment litigation experience who is looking to grow their practice under the mentorship of talented partners. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Utah and Colorado license
  • 6+ years of employment litigation experience
  • Trial experience/ evidentiary hearing experience
  • The ability to manage matters independently from inception through resolution
  • Experience handling Title VII matters
  • Experience with unpaid compensation and wage-related claims
  • Experience handling harassment and employment-related claims
  • Strong written, oral, and client-communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing a practice

Typical day-to-day opportunities include working as part of a team handling Colorado and Utah litigation matters from start to finish, including responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations. You will work with clients on various challenges under state and federal employment laws, drafting& revising handbooks, training, and similar activities.

This means we are looking for attorneys with excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, a demonstrated familiarity with employment laws and litigation experience, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, commitment to and empathy for their fellow team members, and a relentless commitment to growth and client service. Admission to the Colorado Bar and Utah Bar is required, and a JD from an ABA accredited law school is required.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position will be: $250,000 - $350,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
