Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney for its Seattle office to focus on management-side employment and labor law. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience, including experience representing clients in wage and hour class actions, other state and federal court proceedings, administrative agency matters, and alternative dispute resolution. Candidates with more extensive employment law experience and an existing client base are also welcome to apply. Applicants must have a Washington State bar license.OMW emphasizes a collaborative, team approach to the delivery of high-quality legal services. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with strong legal research and writing abilities with a thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law. The candidate should be dependable, and an excellent communicator with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy. This position may also include conducting workplace investigations.
Our clients include public and privately held businesses, non-profit corporations including health care organizations and government entities. Our employment litigation practice encompasses the full spectrum of employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, non-compete and trade secret matters, and ADA and FMLA disputes. Candidates should be comfortable drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and representing clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies such as the EEOC and Washington Human Rights Commission. Our practice also includes conducting workplace investigations on a variety of issues ranging from harassment and discrimination to ethics code violations and allegations of police misconduct. In addition to litigation, there are opportunities to advise clients on employment agreements, severance packages, policy drafting, and general employment law compliance.

The base compensation range for this position is $145,000 to $175,000 a year. Other compensation includes an annual discretionary profit sharing contribution, non-discretionary bonus opportunities and additional discretionary bonus consideration.
