Lloyd Gosselink Rochelle & Townsend, an established downtown Austin law firm with a statewide practice, seeks an experienced Associate for its busy and exciting complex litigation practice. The Firm represents public and private sector entities throughout the state of Texas and litigates cases before the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) and in district courts, courts of appeal, and the Supreme Court of Texas, often dealing with novel questions of law and matters of significant policy importance. Successful candidates must possess excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal communication skills. Seeking an ambitious associate with a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and commitment to growing their practice, network, and expertise. Candidate must have the experience to function independently while coordinating and communicating effectively with the principal in charge of the client. This role has a large transactional component to it, therefore ideal candidates will have experience drafting handbooks, employment agreements, and providing day to day counseling to clients on employment law issues in addition to experience defending employers in litigation and administrative complaints.
