About You:
You are a practical, business-minded employment attorney who enjoys working closely with executives and leadership teams. You understand that employment law is not just about compliance—it's about judgment, strategy and risk management. You are comfortable advising senior stakeholders, handling sensitive matters with discretion, and translating legal considerations into clear, actionable guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic employment law counsel to business clients and senior executives across the full employee life cycle, including hiring, retention, performance management, and separation, with an emphasis on mitigating risk and improving workforce outcomes.
  • Prepare, review, and advise on a wide range of employment-related agreements and policies ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Assist clients in resolving complex employment issues and disputes, including discrimination claims, compliance challenges, and workforce restructuring.
  • Coach business professionals and executives through sensitive personnel matters, negotiations, and performance-related discussions.
  • Support the corporate team on employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions, including due diligence, workforce integration, compensation and benefits issues, and post-transaction employment risk assessment.
  • Provide career and employment advisory services to business professionals and executives, including strategic guidance on hiring decisions, crisis management, and negotiated separation arrangements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • JD degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in New York and/or New Jersey, with willingness and ability to waive into the other jurisdiction within one year.
  • At least 4 years of practical employment law experience, with demonstrated ability to advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate legal risk into business-focused recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with strong judgment and attention to detail.
