Position Overview:
The successful candidate will handle a broad spectrum of employment matters, including litigation in state and federal courts, administrative agency proceedings, and day-to-day counseling on compliance and risk management. This role offers substantial client interaction, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to client strategy and business development initiatives.

To be considered, candidates must have:
  • Two to five years of experience handling employment law matters, including labor and employment litigation
  • Experience advising employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws, workplace policies, investigations and best practices
  • Strong experience in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships
  • A portable book of business (preferred, but not required).
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan
