Our ideal candidate has employment law experience representing employees, employers, or both.
We are also interested in experienced civil litigators who want to transition into employment law and have the litigation skills and judgment to independently manage cases.

- Develop case strategy and independently manage an active caseload.
- Draft demand letters and negotiate pre-litigation resolutions.
- Prepare EEOC and other administrative filings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Handle discovery, depositions, hearings, motion practice, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Litigate matters in North Carolina state and federal courts.
- Prepare for and handle arbitrations and trials when necessary.
- Communicate directly with clients and keep them informed throughout their matters.
- Depending on experience, advise employer clients regarding workplace issues, policies, compliance, employment agreements, investigations, and employment decisions.
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of the firm's employment practice throughout North Carolina.
What We're Looking For:
- Active North Carolina law license.
- Employment law experience representing employees or employers strongly preferred.
- Alternatively, meaningful civil litigation experience combined with a strong interest in employment law.
- Experience handling matters in state and/or federal court.
- Comfort with discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Ability to independently manage cases and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Strong legal writing, analysis, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organization and deadline management.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to outstanding client service.

Business development is not required, although the firm is happy to support an attorney who wants to develop or expand their own client relationships.
