What You Will Do:You will help advise employer-clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and defend them in court and administrative proceedings nationwide. Your day-to-day work will include investigating and drafting EEOC position statements and responses to DOL audits, preparing pleadings, motions, and discovery in employment litigation, conducting witness interviews and factual investigations, providing strategic legal advice to clients on a range of employment law issues, reviewing and revising employment policies and handbooks, drafting responses to demand letters and pre-litigation demands, and managing discovery, including objections, responses, and document review. Attorneys with the experience to do so will have the opportunity to handle and manage single-plaintiff employment litigation matters, including depositions and motions practice, with a high degree of independence.
What we are looking for:
Required:
You must hold a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction in good standing. You must have a minimum of five years of experience in employment law, including civil litigation experience. Excellent legal writing and analytical skills are essential. You should be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing competing deadlines, and exercising sound professional judgment.
Preferred:
We particularly value candidates who bring a strong academic record, judicial clerkship experience, or law review or journal editorial experience. Experience with employment-related agency proceedings (EEOC, DOL, state agencies) is a plus. Multi-state bar admission is helpful but not required.
