Polsinelli is seeking a patent agent or associate to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution practice group. This position is open to our Atlanta, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington DC, Houston, Kansas City, or Phoenix offices, with a preference for Washington DC, or San Francisco. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience, and superb writing and communication skills.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years' relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience and an undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics.

We are especially interested in candidates who can draft, file, and prosecute patent applications related to graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, and robotics circuitry and actuators. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing patent preparation and prosecution for a diverse client base, with a focus on electrical engineering and software-related technologies. Key responsibilities include drafting and filing high-quality patent applications and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of submissions.

Admission to the USPTO is required for all candidates. JD and active bar admission in the jurisdiction in which the candidate intends to practice are required for all associate candidates.

Compensation: Salary will range between $140,000 – $250,000, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
