Polsinelli is seeking a patent agent to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to any of our firm locations with a strong preference for our Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver, Houston, St. Louis, or Kansas City offices. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience, and superb writing and communication skills.Ideal candidates will possess 2+ years of relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution and hold a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics.
Preferred Experience:
Patent prosecution in either electrical engineering or software-related technologies, including:
- machine learning/artificial intelligence/neural networks;
- telecommunications (e.g., 5G, 6G, etc.);
- autonomous driving;
- radio frequency (RF) circuitry; and/or
- hardware and/or communications security (e.g., encryption/decryption).

Compensation: Salary will range between $140,000 – $250,000, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
