Growing and busy firm in Tallmadge, Ohio seeks an associate attorney to practice in elder law, estate planning, and probate/trust administration. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in Ohio courts with an active Ohio law license and will work independently on Medicaid asset protection planning, guardianship matters, general estate planning, and probate and trust administration. The firm does not currently have an active elder law practice and is looking to develop it with the right candidate.We are looking for an attorney that is independent but is also looking for mentorship in the practice of law from other experienced attorneys in a supportive work environment. The qualified candidate will: (1) be motivated, responsible, and independent; (2) have experience successfully working with Medicaid asset protection planning; (3) doing guardianship work at various probate courts; (4) have excellent drafting, verbal, and organizational skills; and (4) have the confidence to quickly assume responsibility on cases, including handling consultations, court appearances, and interact with opposing counsel and clients.
Compensation will be based on experience and ability, plus the potential for significant bonuses based on individual revenue and client origination. There is potential to make much more beyond your salary in this position if the candidate has the right work ethic. Compensation heavily incentives attorneys based on production, revenue, and origination.
The position will include dedicated support staff to assist the attorney with administrative duties, filings, and other task delegation.
