Description:
The New Hampshire Department of Justice seeks an attorney to join
its Elder Abuse and Financial Exploitation Unit, which is responsible
for investigating and prosecuting crimes against victims age 60 and
older. The Unit consists of two attorneys, one investigator, a
victim-witness advocate, an investigative paralegal, and a program
specialist.
Unit prosecutors manage all aspects
of the investigation and litigation of the most serious cases of elder
abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation throughout New Hampshire. The
successful candidate will be part of a public-facing team that serves
as the leading authority for education, and outreach on all issues
relating to recognizing and preventing elder scams and exploitation in
the state. Applicants must be admitted to the New Hampshire Bar (or
waiver eligible) with a sincere interest in serving the state's older
adult population. Litigation experience, as well as experience reviewing
financial, and medical documentation is preferred.
