Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Elder Abuse Attorney to represent elderly clients who have experienced physical, emotional, financial, or neglect-related abuse. The attorney will handle litigation involving nursing homes, assisted living facilities, caregivers and other forms of elder mistreatment. This role requires strong advocacy skills, litigation experience, and a commitment to protecting vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in elder abuse and neglect cases from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, investigations, and case evaluations.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Work with medical experts, investigators, and social service professionals to build cases.
  • Advise clients and families regarding legal rights, remedies, and case strategy.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers, defense counsel, and opposing parties.
  • Maintain accurate case files and comply with all court deadlines.
  • Stay informed on changes in elder law, healthcare regulations, and abuse prevention laws.
  • Collaborate with support staff and contribute to client-centered legal services.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of elder abuse and personal injury litigation expereince is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with discovery, depositions, mediation, and courtroom proceedings.
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor when working with elderly clients and families.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
