Job Description:The Richmond office of McGuireWoods seeks a Staff Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation Department.

Job Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a top 100 law firm setting.
- The E-Discovery Staff Attorney will steer the logistics of discovery from start to finish, establishing a transparent and trustworthy process for the case team and the client.
- Serve as a liaison between case teams, Litigation Support, contract document reviewers or document review services, trial services, the client and vendors.
- Ensure the case team instructions are followed and expectations are met. Keep the case team abreast of progress during discovery operations, reporting on work that has been accomplished, work remaining and estimated costs and timetables for completion.
- Help determine, document and execute project planning, scheduling and technical requirements. Work with the case team, the client, Litigation Support, supervise contract document reviewers or document review services and vendors, will define the project's budgets, goals and objectives and develop a plan for achieving these tasks.
- Must understand both the substantive and strategic aspects of the litigation. Take ownership for this process, shepherding the project through the planning, collection, processing, review and production, including the ultimate use of productions in depositions, motions practice and trial.
- Assist the case team in developing the facts of the case, interviewing witnesses and transferring this information to the document review team. Will be flexible and able to adapt to the unexpected, navigate difficult deadlines and manage the many internal and external participants in the process.
- Experience with Relativity and other review platforms expected. Significant experience managing e-discovery projects a plus.
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams.
- Must have a strong academic record, excellent writing, and oral communication skills.
- Virginia State Bar is required.
