Description:
Day Pitney is seeking a Discovery Staff Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of electronic discovery (eDiscovery) experience, including discovery project management and leading and advising on eDiscovery strategy, to join our team. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented and sophisticated work environment with industry experts. This is a non-partnership track position.Day Pitney offers a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule to provide our attorneys greater flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including oversight of document hosting and review vendors, document collection, review, and production.
- Develop and implement cost-effective discovery and compliance strategies and manage the day-to-day operations throughout the discovery lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure efficient and effective document preservation, collection, and review methods appropriate to each matter.
- Leverage technology / AI tools to assist clients in all phases of discovery, from preservation and collection to review and production of large volumes of data.
- Advise on best practices and emerging trends in eDiscovery, data privacy, and information governance.
- Draft and respond to discovery-related documents including format of production specifications and appropriate objections, motions, and pleadings.
- Provide guidance and training to attorneys and staff on discovery issues.
- Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting discovery practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in discovery and eDiscovery, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale discovery projects and teams.
- Excellent technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with eDiscovery software and technology (e.g., Relativity).
- Self-starter with excellent client service skills and ability to handle high-volume data productions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction you plan to practice.
