Description:
An East Coast Law Firm is seeking a Discovery Staff Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of electronic discovery (eDiscovery) experience, including discovery project management and leading and advising on eDiscovery strategy, to join our growing team. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented and sophisticated work environment with industry experts. This is a non-partnership track position.An East Coast Law Firm offers a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule to provide our attorneys greater flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including oversight of document hosting and review vendors, document collection, review, and production.
- Develop and implement cost-effective discovery and compliance strategies and manage the day-to-day operations throughout the discovery lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure efficient and effective document preservation, collection and review methods appropriate to each matter.
- Leverage technology / AI tools to assist clients in all phases of discovery, from preservation and collection to review and production of large volumes of data.
- Advise on best practices and emerging trends in e-discovery, data privacy, and information governance.
- Draft and respond to discovery-related documents including format of production specifications and appropriate objections, motions and pleadings.
- Provide guidance and training to junior attorneys, contract attorneys, and staff on discovery issues.
- Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting discovery practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in discovery and e-discovery, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale discovery projects and teams.
- Excellent technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with e-discovery software and technology (e.g., Relativity, Concordance).
- Self-starter with excellent client service skills and ability to handle high-volume data productions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction you plan to practice.
