A Multidisciplinary, International Law Firm is seeking a Director of Conflicts and Business Intake (“Director”) who will be based in the Dallas, Detroit, or Pittsburgh office. This Director is responsible for managing the conflicts analysis, conflicts resolution, and new-business intake functions of the firm. Responsibilities include supervising managers and teams of specialists responsible for reviewing and approving requests to open new matters; identifying potential conflicts of interest; clearing conflicts for lateral attorney candidates; working with attorneys to resolve potential conflicts; and documenting clients' conflict consents and related ethics agreements.This Director reports directly to the firm's Chief Legal Officer and will work closely with the firm's Assistant General Counsel and other firm leadership to ensure compliance with the firm's ethical responsibilities and risk mitigation practices.
Candidates should have at least five years of conflict and risk management experience plus be experienced in managing teams in a fast-paced law-firm environment. Candidates should have a track record of influencing and implementing decisions on policies, procedures, and standards. Experience with Intapp and Elite 3E strongly preferred. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. This is a hybrid position with the expectation that the candidate will be in the office at least 3 days per week.
