The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court is seeking applications for the position of Director of Administrative Services, a key leadership role within Court Administration. This professional opportunity invites candidates to support the advancement of court administration, case management, and program coordination that serves both the justice system and the public.
The Director will supervise, train, evaluate, and direct staff circuit-wide across several critical programs, including Family Court Services, Mediation, Juvenile Programs, Problem Solving Courts, and Civil Case Management, while promoting professional growth and a collaborative environment. Core duties include leading planning and policy development initiatives, implementing operational plans, policies, and procedures that drive departmental and organizational goals, and overseeing fiscal and administrative matters such as budgets, contracts, and invoicing for the department.
Additional responsibilities involve managing case workflows, scheduling, and case preparation, as well as program operations supporting divisions such as Domestic Relations, Domestic Violence, Circuit Civil, County Civil, and criminal cases addressed within Problem Solving Courts and Juvenile programs. The Director will foster effective partnerships with judges, attorneys, agencies, and the community, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with legal and fiscal standards while driving continuous improvement through evaluative practices. The role also encompasses preparing comprehensive reports, maintaining accurate records, presenting information, and facilitating meetings with both staff and stakeholders.
This position requires strong competency in synthesizing and integrating data analysis including applying fractions, percentages, ratios, measurements, algebraic and statistical techniques to develop interpretations and knowledge supporting operational goals. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in fields such as public or business administration, social work, criminology, or law, with at least six years of relevant professional experience, three of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Higher academic credentials such as a master's or Juris Doctor may substitute for designated years of non-management experience.
Ideal candidates will exhibit advanced organizational, strategic, and analytical abilities, strong fiscal management and data analysis skills, effective communication and presentation strengths, excellent problem-solving prowess, dedication to public service and innovation, and proficiency with Excel or similar tools for statistical analysis.
