The Role:
As the Director of Contracts Management, you will represent and protect Fidelity in drafting and negotiating agreements with our largest plan sponsor clients. This role partners with Sales, Relationship Management, Operations, Finance, Product Management, Compliance, and Corporate Legal to achieve Fidelity's business goals while managing legal and compliance risk. You will lead negotiations, resolve complex legal issues, and provide strategic guidance that supports business growth.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
  • JD and a four-year college degree
  • 5–6 years of transactional legal experience, preferably in contract negotiation and drafting
  • Knowledge of retirement and health plan products, services, and applicable laws and regulations (ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, data privacy laws)
  • Understanding of key commercial contract terms such as confidentiality, indemnification, limits on liability, warranties, and data privacy
  • Excellent legal analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve complex negotiation issues
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving contracting issues and developing creative solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across Fidelity
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with confidence in presenting and decision-making

You will join the Contracts team within the Workplace Investing organization—a group of professionals responsible for the legal, risk, and business contractual framework for trust and service agreements with our clients. The team partners closely with internal legal and business units throughout the contracting process, striving to build strong client relationships while protecting Fidelity from risk.
