Job Details:
- Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
- Support the Legal team
- Salary up to: $100,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on statutes, case law, regulations, and administrative decisions to support agency operations and legal strategies.
- Draft clear, well-reasoned legal memoranda and opinions to guide leadership decision-making.
- Prepare, review, and edit a variety of legal documents—including motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and persuasive argumentation.
- Research, draft, and propose legislation, administrative rules, and policy updates, including providing legal interpretation and assessing potential impacts.
- Assist Deputy General Counsels in case strategy, discovery, witness preparation, and hearing/trial support, including assembling evidence and preparing exhibits.
- Stay informed of changes in applicable laws and regulations, proactively advising on emerging legal risks and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma
- Two (2) years legal experience as a licensed attorney
Preference will be given to candidates who possess
- Experience serving as a member of a law journal
- Experience in computer assisted legal research, word processing, and document organization capabilities sufficient to produce briefs in both state and federal court
