There is currently one (1) regular full-time vacancy. The list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future full-time, part-time, limited term, and extra help vacancies for up to one year. The department may choose to fill the vacancy at the or II level, depending on the qualifications of the candidate pool.

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:

Attorney I:
Education
: Graduation from an accredited law school

Experience: None required.

License or Certificate*:
Active membership in the California State Bar Association.

Attorney II
Education
: Graduation from an accredited law school.

Experience: Two years of criminal law, or one year in a District Attorney's Office or Public Defender's Office as an Attorney I equivalent in A Government Entity.

License or Certificate*:
Active membership in the California State Bar Association

Attorney III
Education
: Graduation from an accredited law school.

Experience: Three years of criminal law, or one year in a District Attorney's or Public Defender's Office as an Attorney II equivalent in A Government Entity.

License or Certificate*:
Active membership in the California State Bar Association

Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e., active and in good standing) at all times during employment with A Government Entity. For continued employment with A Government Entity, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
