The County of Yolo District Attorney's Office is recruiting to fill a limited term position, set to expire on 12/31/2026, in the Deputy District Attorney class series. The position will be assigned to the Criminal Unit as a Deputy District Attorney I/II/III/IV, depending on the selected candidate's experience.

The current salary range for the Deputy District Attorney I/II classification levels are as follows; however, a 6.44% equity and 2.0% COLA adjustments are anticipated:
  • Deputy District Attorney I: $82,513 - $100,256 Annually
  • Deputy District Attorney II: $101,442 - $123.302 Annually

Employment Standards:
Deputy District Attorney I
Experience
: No experience required.
Licensure: Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Deputy District Attorney II
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the practice of law; One (1) year of experience as an entry-level attorney in any county in the State of California or at least one (1) year of experience at a prosecutor's office in the United States.
License: Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Special Requirement: Attorneys assigned to “special services” legal work must have one (1) year of experience in general civil law or in the civil and criminal prosecution of consumer or environmental law.
