A Government Entity is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Deputy Attorney. We are seeking someone who could fill a Deputy I, II, Or III position.Under policies and procedures established by the Iron County Attorney, prosecutes criminal offenses for the State of Utah and Iron County and provides legal counsel and advice on matters of law to various County Departments. Individual case assignments are distributed among Attorney, I, II, III, IV V and VI according to case complexity.
Must have and equivalent to a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Two (2) years of previous experience is preferred, but not required. Preference may be given to those who are attorney's in good standing and currently licensed to practice law in the State of Utah.
Incumbent must possess valid membership in the Utah State Bar Association and in the Federal Bar Association for Utah. Incumbent must successfully complete mandatory continuing legal education (CLE) training every two (2) years.
Salary is commensurate with experience, includes comprehensive benefit package. Minimum starting salary for entry level attorney is $81,515.00/ annual.
This position will work under the supervision and general guidance of the Iron County Attorney and Chief Deputy Attorney.
