Deputy Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU)

Start Date: To be determined upon hire.

Salary: Starting at $90,000 - Depends on Experience (DOE).

Primary Duties:
The successful applicant is assigned to the Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU). The federally funded and mandated MFCU is an interdisciplinary team dedicated to protecting vulnerable individuals and safeguarding the finite resources on which they depend. This position will be responsible for prosecuting cases involving Medicaid provider fraud, as well as patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Primary duties include assisting with investigations and prosecuting cases from the charging phase through trial and sentencing.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must hold an active Idaho Bar license.
  • Jury trial experience is required.
  • Must have the ability to travel occasionally throughout the state.
  • Enthusiasm for public service is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of prosecution experience, including experience prosecuting fraud.
