Description:
Duties: Under direction of a Deputy Attorney General 1 or 2, or other supervisory attorney, represents the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) as prescribed by applicable statutes; conducts work related to the investigation of casino and sports wagering racetrack licensing matters and prosecution of certain regulatory violations including drafting reports regarding entities and individuals qualifier applicants with complex financial backgrounds; handles individual registrant cases with criminal and financial issues; as the Attorney General's representative, participates in legal and related activities involving administrative cases in appropriate jurisdiction and before other State courts as necessary; addresses law enforcement agency and gaming authority information requests and contracts; responds to subpoenas; works on legislation , regulations, OPRA, ethics, and EFO (internal and industry) matters; provides legal advice concerning contractual arrangements, memoranda of understanding, and humas resource, informational technology, fiscal, budget, logistics and communications matters; handles projects; conducts legal research; does other related work as required.
Requirements
Education: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor. Admission to practice as an attorney-at-law in the State of New Jersey required.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a practicing attorney.
License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
