A National Business Law Firm is seeking a 1-4 year attorney with excellent academic credentials for a Real Estate Associate position with our Zoning & Land Use subgroup in Dallas. This is a growth position with a clear path toward advancement in the firm. We help developers and landowners analyze and strategically navigate the platting, subdivision, infrastructure development, and building permit process by creatively leveraging the protections of state and local laws to minimize costs and avoid impediments to development. This may include the formation of public/private partnerships, securing entitlements and obtaining favorable zoning through drafting complex regulations, and representation in community negotiations and public hearings. This position is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to obtain a unique skill set in an expanding area with a sophisticated client base. While experience in land use or zoning is not required, candidates must want to or be open to focusing on this area of law.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
  • Real Estate Transactions: Experience or exposure in the realm of commercial real estate practice, especially real estate developments.
  • AmLaw 200 Experience: We looking for someone who is familiar with the pace and expectations of sophisticated law firm work.
  • Strong Academics: Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and must be able to provide a transcript showing strong grades from a from a top tier law school.
  • Communication and Drafting Skills: Candidates should be proficient at complex legal drafting and be an excellent communicator. Attorneys in this practice area not only communicate regularly with clients, but also with members of the community and public officials.
