Key Responsibilities:
  • Review incoming law enforcement reports to determine viability of filing criminal charges
  • Evaluate assigned cases for prosecutorial merit and possible plea negotiations
  • Research and write legal motions
  • File appropriate written motions when needed
  • Competently, expeditiously and professionally handle all assigned court appearances
  • Prepare cases for trial
  • Assist other law enforcement agencies
  • Continually develop, maintain and improve all skills necessary to perform daily prosecutorial duties

Required Skills:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to and in good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association
  • Must have knowledge and experience with court room and trial procedures related to criminal law
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Longevity compensation after 2 years of service
