What You'll Do:

Represent clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors in General District and Circuit Courts across Northern Virginia.
Develop legal strategies, draft and argue motions, negotiate plea agreements, and manage cases from start to finish.
Collaborate with our sharp, mission-driven team in a culture that emphasizes empathy, excellence, and accountability.

What you bring:

Active Virginia law license
3+ years of criminal trial experience, with a track record of effective advocacy
Courtroom confidence, a strong work ethic, and a client-first mindset
Desire to grow professionally in a high-performing, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring each client receives personalized and effective legal representation.
Develop and implement strategic defense plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each case.
Represent clients in court, demonstrating strong advocacy skills and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes.
Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to share insights and refine case strategies.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and stay informed on relevant legal precedents.
Draft, review, and file legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and guidance to build trust and confidence in our services.

Qualifications:

Licensed to Practice Law in Virginia.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal law (public defenders and prosecutors welcomed) preferred, which should include handling felony cases and conducting jury trials.
