What You'll Do:
  • Represent clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors in General District and Circuit Courts across Northern Virginia.
  • Develop legal strategies, draft and argue motions, negotiate plea agreements, and manage cases from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with our sharp, mission-driven team in a culture that emphasizes empathy, excellence, and accountability.

What you bring:
  • Active Virginia law license
  • 3+ years of criminal trial experience, with a track record of effective advocacy
  • Courtroom confidence, a strong work ethic, and a client-first mindset

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring each client receives personalized and effective legal representation.
  • Develop and implement strategic defense plans tailored to the unique circumstances of each case.
  • Represent clients in court, demonstrating strong advocacy skills and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to share insights and refine case strategies.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and stay informed on relevant legal precedents.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and guidance to build trust and confidence in our services.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed to Practice Law in Virginia.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal law (public defenders and prosecutors welcomed) preferred, which should include handling felony cases and conducting jury trials.
