What You Will Do:
  • Identify Legal Requirements Regarding Marketing/advertising Campaigns and Communications for Hyundai and Genesis Brand Vehicles and Features. Includes Assessment and Verification of Product Performance.
  • Confirm Legally Compliant Final Marketing and Advertising Content, Including for Social Media, Television, Print, Radio, and Digital Campaigns and Communications.

How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Reviewing Content: Review of Draft Marketing and Advertisements (including Social Media, Images, Videos, and Other Media) to Identify and Correct Potential Issues Related to Accuracy of Product/feature Performance, Policy Violations, or Ethical Concerns. 
  • Ensuring Compliance: Verify that Advertising and Marketing Representations Adhere to Relevant Legal and Regulatory Requirements, Such as Those Related to Consumer Protection, Data Privacy, and Advertising Standards. 
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Offer Constructive Feedback and Solutions to Internal Clients, Outside Agencies, and Other Stakeholders Regarding Areas for Improvement or Necessary Changes. 
  • Identifying Policy Violations: Recognize and Address Instances Where Proposed Marketing or Advertising Materials Violate Company Policies, Platform Guidelines, or Legal Regulations. 
  • Maintaining Quality: Contribute to The Overall Quality and Effectiveness of Marketing and Advertising Campaigns by Ensuring Accuracy, Relevance, and Compliance. 
  • Staying Updated: Keep Abreast of Changes in Marketing and Advertising Policies, Regulations, and Best Practices to Ensure Ongoing Compliance. 
  • High Level of Independent Judgment to Identify Legal Risk and Coordinate Legally Compliant Marketing Campaigns and Communications that Achieve the Business Purposes/targets.

What You Will Bring to The Role:
  • Must Be a High School Graduate.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Master's Degree a Plus.
  • Juris Doctor Degree Required.
  • Eight or More Years of Legal Experience Required, Preferably in Advertising Review or Litigation.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
  • Strong Legal and Factual Analytical Abilities.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication.
  • Comfortable with Aggressive and Proactive Defense Strategies.
  • Strong Drafting and Negotiating Skills.
  • Ability to Work Quickly and Independently.
  • Ability to Effectively Handle Multiple Responsibilities Simultaneously.
  • Member California State Bar.
