What you can expect
Zoom is looking for a dynamic, solutions-oriented attorney with a demonstrated interest and expertise in AI and Data Governance to join its global regulatory compliance program. You will be responsible for building and implementing Zoom's AI-first approach to advising the business on proactive and strategic risk mitigation related to U.S. and international regulation. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in technology, including AI, and experience in compliance, enforcement, or products counseling. You will have the opportunity to creatively solve problems, harness new technology including artificial intelligence, and work collaboratively across Zoom's Legal team. This position reports to Zoom's Chief Privacy Officer, who heads the Global Regulatory Compliance program.

About the Team:
Zoom's legal team is a dynamic group of highly-experienced legal professionals who work across all business units and product lines and is dedicated to supporting the company's growth while managing risk. The legal team is highly collaborative, practical, and business-oriented partnering closely with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Working with Zoom's product, IT, and business teams to drive compliance with AI, data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements within a constantly innovating, customer-focused company.
  • Developing product's expertise in order to provide effective and efficient compliance advice concerning time-sensitive product releases.
  • Leveraging your regulatory and technology counseling experience to guide product team members on issues of critical importance relating to data governance and AI within Zoom's products. .
  • Developing and harnessing cross-functional relationships within Zoom to proactively foster compliance with a broad range of U.S. and international laws and regulations impacting technology and business, including consumer protection, competition, privacy, data governance, and finance laws and regulations.
  • Providing business-minded, expert advice in a dynamic environment.
  • Adopting Zoom's AI-first approach by leveraging AI technologies for to assist in regulatory compliance tasks and workflows.
  • Staying well-informed about, and advise on, regulatory and industry developments, including monitoring evolving trends in statutes, regulations and public policy surrounding technology, consumer protection, and competition.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years relevant experience; admitted to the Bar.
  • Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and build consensus among stakeholders and leadership.
  • Be technology savvy, an enthusiastic adopter of AI, and interested in learning new ways of using technology to solve problems.
  • Thrive in a complex and ever-changing environment while staying organized and prioritizing multiple projects at once.
  • Possess both excellent legal and business judgment and be comfortable balancing legal risks and business strategy.
  • Be a team player willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$98,900.00

Maximum:
$228,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
