Join the Energy Legal Team within Walmart US as Counsel. In this role, you will partner with the business to lead negotiations, drafting and critical review of a variety of commercial legal agreements for projects and deals that support Walmart's energy use in regulated and deregulated markets and help the company implement its energy efficiency strategy and meet its renewable energy goals. In fulfilling your duties, you will partner cross-functionally with key business and legal stakeholders within the company and manage outside counsel and consultants.

What You'll Do:
  • Have experience providing transactional support and counsel to corporates, renewable energy companies or utilities on renewable energy projects.
  • Provide legal advice to the business that reveals an informed understanding of the Company's legal rights, obligations, and potential risks to allow the client to make informed decisions.
  • Empower your business partners while working collaboratively to achieve cross-functional goals.
  • Can identify the need for and oversee outside legal support for renewable energy transactions and projects.

What you'll bring:
Experience negotiating virtual and physical PPAs, Tax Equity investment deals, energy storage agreements, Renewable Energy Certificate Purchase Agreements, Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure development and services agreements, Community Solar agreements or project development transactions.

Diverse legal experience (ex. combination of in-house, government, leading law firm, etc.).
