As an eDiscovery Counsel within An American Bank Holding Company & Financial Services Corporation's Legal organization, you will be based in Birmingham, Al.
Responsibilities:
- In coordination with Managing Chief Counsel and/or Managing Senior Counsel, support eDiscovery component of ongoing litigation and investigation matters, including legal holds, data collection, and document review and production
- Coordinate with An American Bank Holding Company & Financial Services Corporation lines of business, eDiscovery vendors, and outside counsel based on matter eDiscovery requirements
- Develop and execute strategic plans to identify, preserve, collect, search, and review data in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices
- Draft and revise legal hold notices, ESI protocols, protective orders, and review protocols
- Assist eDiscovery Analyst with collection of data from An American Bank Holding Company & Financial Services Corporation data sources
- Advise internal and outside counsel on search, analytics, and review strategies
- Assist with An American Bank Holding Company & Financial Services Corporation information governance, data remediation, and technology implementation efforts
- Understand and remain current with applicable laws and regulations, regulatory drivers, eDiscovery strategies, and cutting-edge technologies
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school
- At least 4+ years of experience in eDiscovery
- Prior exposure to financial services or banking a plus

- Provides enterprise perspective and partnership to inside and outside legal counsel.
- Reviews and prepares transactional and other routine legal documentation.
