The Role:
WebBank is seeking a talented transactional lawyer to join our dynamic team and support the Bank's day-to-day transactional needs, including cutting edge structured finance and fintech transactions. You will be responsible for providing best in class commercial and transactional support across business teams at the Bank. Reporting directly to the VP, Deputy General Counsel – Corporate & Capital Markets, this role offers a unique blend of autonomy, collaboration, and the chance to work on high-profile projects with the leading bank in Fintech

What You'll Do:
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice across the entire organization and partner with cross-functional teams to provide practical, risk-based legal guidance.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a multitude of contract-types, including confidentiality agreements, credit bureau agreements, technology services agreements, term sheets, financing documents, and partnership agreements.
  • Support the Bank's financing efforts and partner with the outside counsel, internal counsel, and Bank's asset finance team to support various financing transactions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Compliance, IT, Asset Finance, and Business Development to provide deal structuring and commercial contractual support.
  • Supervise outside counsel.

Requirements:
What We're Looking For:
  • Four (4) to seven (7) years of finance transactional experience from a leading law firm. Structured finance or asset finance experience preferred.
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating core transaction documentation for financing facilities and commercial transactions (including nondisclosure agreements, term sheets, loan agreements, and ancillary documents).
  • A team player with an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of working independently and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility, self-starting attitude, and a strong work ethic, enabling you to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Interpersonal skills; ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, allowing you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and adjusting shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated desire for personal growth and an eagerness to take on new challenges and responsibilities over time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working with both legal and business professionals on cross-functional teams or projects.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing of a U.S. state bar.
