Job Description:NBCUniversal is looking for an attorney to join the Advertising & Partnerships Legal team as Counsel. This position will support the NBCU Advertising & Partnerships team on a wide range of matters, including in-show integrations, production of custom commercial content, ad innovations, live events, and more, across NBC, Bravo, Telemundo, and Peacock. The position is based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, practical legal advice on advertising campaigns, including risk assessments for senior executives.
- Review creative content for legal considerations including regulatory compliance, intellectual property clearance, and guild considerations.
- Draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including:
- Agreements with advertisers, including brand integration agreements, custom content agreements, and sponsorship agreements; and
- Talent and influencer agreements.
- Support live events and experiential activations.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting advertising and provide internal trainings and resources.
- Contribute to team-wide initiatives and support cross-functional legal projects.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Law degree (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Member of the New York State Bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel in New York.
- 4+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in advertising, marketing, media, or entertainment law.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work independently.
- Flexible, proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines.
- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $185,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
