Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal guidance across various corporate functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires a strong background in diverse legal areas, including estate planning, environmental law, litigation, intellectual property, and more. The Corporate Legal Counsel will play a vital role in managing legal risks, drafting and reviewing contracts, and supporting strategic business initiatives to promote the company's growth and integrity.

Duties:
  • Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of issues including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to ensure clarity and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case analysis and legal opinions.
  • Manage litigation processes by coordinating with external counsel when necessary and overseeing case developments.
  • Advise on intellectual property matters including patent law and related protections.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting operations.
  • Develop internal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks across departments.
  • Assist in handling immigration law issues related to workforce compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and legal memoranda for executive leadership on complex legal matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws through continuous research and professional development.

Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of diverse legal areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, and litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal issues effectively.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting contracts, legal memoranda, reports, and correspondence.
  • Proven negotiation skills to facilitate favorable agreements for the company.
  • Experience working within a law office environment or corporate setting with a focus on legal administrative processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
