We are currently seeking a Corporate Governance & Legal Operations Attorney to join our team in Hato Rey and contribute to a culture where every minute becomes an opportunity.
You will be part of a strategic team responsible for strengthening Mapfre 's corporate governance , supporting key legal processes, and promoting innovation and digital transformation initiatives. You will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with senior management and participate in projects that impact local operations and alignment with the organization's global standards.
Homework
- Support the General Counsel and the General Secretariat on local and global corporate governance matters.
- Coordinate and monitor corporate governance processes, including communications, reports, and corporate requirements.
- Prepare, review, and manage corporate documentation, including:
- Minutes and records
- Corporate resolutions
- Certifications
- Powers
- Reports for boards and committees
- Support the comprehensive management of the contract lifecycle, including review, negotiation, approvals and archiving.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research.
- Prepare legal memos, analyses, and opinions.
- Develop, document, and optimize legal and administrative processes to improve operational efficiency and risk management.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives, process automation, and legal innovation.
- Promote the adoption and improvement of technological tools used by the legal function.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Counsel or the Corporate Secretary.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited institution.
- Valid license as a lawyer and notary in Puerto Rico.
Experience:
- Between 2 and 6 years of professional experience.
- Experience in corporate, contractual or administrative law.
- Experience in handling and managing corporate documentation.
