Join Amazon's Legal Department as Corporate Counsel supporting our Worldwide Operations and Robotics teams. In this role, you will collaborate with technology teams to provide legal guidance on innovative systems and robotics solutions. The position focuses on supporting product development, commercial agreements, software licensing, and intellectual property matters while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with engineering and technology teams to provide legal guidance on product development, system implementation, and robotics initiatives
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including technology, supply chain, licensing, and deployment contracts
  • Assess and advise on legal, reputational, and compliance risks related to technical architecture and program design
  • Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property matters and software licensing
  • Develop and implement practical solutions to support business objectives while ensuring legal compliance

Basic Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
  • Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  • Can distill complex legal issues into clear, concise business guidance
  • Experience in Product Safety & Compliance Law
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of technology areas including consumer device hardware and software, server-side infrastructure supporting the same, product design, systems for managing and delivering all types of digital content, machine learning, computer vision, and wireless communications
