Job Summary:SK hynix is seeking a junior-level attorney to serve as legal counsel for our cutting-edge semiconductor operations in the United States. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating complex legal issues that require analysis on several fronts, while effectively communicating with procurement, R&D and sales departments. This position offers an opportunity to solve complex problems in a fast moving technology sector.
Responsibilities:
- Work across a spectrum of complex legal, business and strategic issues
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including procurement, R&D and sales agreements, as well as vendor contracts under a senior attorney's supervision
- Provide clear legal advice to internal teams such as engineering, sales, finance, HR and operations
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations to identify commercial, regulatory or operational risks
- Monitor relevant US regulations affecting semiconductor operations
- Coordinate with the parent company's legal team on cross-border matters and corporate governance
- Coordinate with the legal teams of various affiliates and subsidiaries within the United States
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier U.S. law school
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar
- Experience handling commercial transactions or corporate matters
- Demonstrated fast learning curve with an eager, proactive attitude toward mastering complex legal and technical concepts
- Experience with procurement, R&D or sales contracts
- Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working in a large corporation or multinational company, including collaboration with the parent company, affiliates and subsidiaries
- Experience in in the semiconductor, electronics, or other advanced technology manufacturing sectors
- Familiarity with export controls, tariffs, and general corporate law/ governance practices
- Experience working in a multicultural / international environment
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel periodically to other locations as needed
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary due to global time differences
