Review and provide both legal and business advice for a variety of corporate and business matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interacting with and supporting various in-house clients across the company.
  • Advisoring to divisional management and corporate functions.
  • Providing creative and practical legal and commercial advice and counsel to business clients on an array of business and contractual issues while coordinating with other Legal team members and stakeholders as necessary, building trusted advisor relationships and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Providing other legal support, including assisting with general corporate and commercial research, providing analysis and advice on a range of business and legal issues and trainings to in-house clients.
  • Developing a deep understanding of Jabil's business model and risk profile as a contract manufacturer and solutions provider.
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and ultimately managing the lifecycle of a wide range of commercial agreements, including principally manufacturing services agreements, technical services agreements, and ancillary contracts like statements of work and quality agreements.
  • Quickly and concisely analyzing and summarizing legal documents and issues for internal clients and functional leaders.
  • Conducting legal research to stay up to date on laws and regulations.
  • Effectively using tools and technology to manage and track deliverables and legal organization metrics.
  • Working effectively with outside counsel.
  • Supporting best practices.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Management and Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include:
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).
  • May supervise professional staff or less experienced attorneys

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Preferably including manufacturing agreements and ancillary contracts, such as supply, development, distributor and channel partner agreements, as well experience in government contracting between subcontractors and prime contractors.
  • Graduate of an ABA or foreign equivalent law school, member of a bar in good standing, eligible to practice law in jurisdiction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, good judgement, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate ability to work in a changing, fast paced, and energetic environment. An ability to communicate well with both lawyers and non-lawyers, including senior management.
  • Strong work ethic, motivated and self-starter, ability to resolve conflict, business acumen with business-oriented approach to problem solving, ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and in a collaborative environment, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound and practical legal and business judgment; creative, positive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful and taking on additional responsibility.
  • Amenable to attending team calls with business counterparts based in Europe, Asia and across North America outside of standard Eastern-US business hours.
