Position Summary:
As Corporate Counsel, you will work on-site as a member of Arizona Boardwalk providing general corporate and commercial legal services to assist in achieving business goals while minimizing undue risk. Work involves a wide variety of areas including advice on general business matters to contract negotiation, leasing activities, real estate development, and business development.

Major Duties and Responsibilities (But Are Not Limited To):
  • Act as lead counsel on specific real estate transactions
  • Contract negotiations
  • Leasing activities
  • Real estate development
  • Attractions business development
  • Work closely with business partners and become an integral part of various project teams.
  • Lead real property acquisitions, development & disposition transactions.
  • Lead review and negotiation of lender-related documents
  • Negotiate partnerships.
  • Property management and development management agreements
  • Prepare or review a variety of corporate and organizational documents.
  • Provide support through the review and negotiation of vendor and other services contracts broker listing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
  • Liaison with outside parties including counsel.

  • In-house counsel experience is a plus.
  • A proven track record demonstrating the ability to independently make decisions regarding complex legal and corporate issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor and membership in a state bar must be active and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5- 10 years of legal experience, with a strong preference for several years of experience as a business lawyer in an in-house legal department.
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • Substantive transactional experience and understanding of contract and legal principles, strategies, and technology; strong legal advisory skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and be proactive in the development and resolution of legal solutions for business issues.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in analyses and communications.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, summarize complex legal issues and risks, and craft effective business communications that emphasize key points.
